Artist Statement

Trans Royalty is a photographic exhibition by transgender photographer Leon Mostovoy. The project features 30” x 36” photographic portraits of the TGI community (Transgender, gender-expansive, intersex, and nonbinary people), with a focus on Trans couples, Trans youth, and our community’s elders. The project is ongoing and was started in November 2025. These images illuminate the depth, beauty, and complexity of people too often misrepresented or made invisible. They reflect our present and an offering to our future — a testament to abundance, dignity, and resilience in a time when our existence is continually politicized.
